“Where Intensive Reading and Writing Tutoring Coincides with Summer Fun”
The Education & Adventure Experience is a one of a kind day camp, designed for students entering 6th – 8th
grade who struggle with learning disabilities which affect reading and writing. The Education & Adventure
Experience offers a fantastic day program for children that have learning disabilities and need intensive
remediation, but deserve a balance between learning and fun over the summer. The camp combines intensive
reading and writing tutoring with adventure trips, team building and hands on learning activities.
Day camps are two weeks long and sessions are offered June 14th – 25th and July 12th – 23rd.
Each day begins at 8 a.m. with two hours of intensive reading and writing instruction followed by
five hours of fun experiential and learning activities including creating an original song recorded in a
professional studio, nature walks and trips to Denver landmarks and water parks. The last hour of each
day will conclude with writing and reflection time. Children will experience a learning environment that
is intensive, nurturing and motivational, customized to each student's specific needs.
The F.A.S.T. and Wilson reading programs will be used along with proven fluency, comprehension and
writing strategies. Both reading programs are based on Orton Gilligham’s systematic, multisensory phonics programs.
In order to determine each child’s individual reading and writing needs, students will be pre-tested by appointment
at the Results Learning office at least one week prior to the first day of camp. Students will then be placed in
small groups (2 – 4 students per tutor) with students of similar needs.
Our tutoring/intervention staff consists of teaching professionals extensively trained and experienced in our
programs and seasoned camp counselors to chaperone daily fun activities. We are looking forward to helping
your child gain valuable reading and writing skills in a motivating environment so they may enter the next
school year with renewed confidence.
*Tuition:$1,500
Tuition is all-inclusive. Includes tutoring, daily lunches, snacks and adventure activities.
